There is so much to see and do this weekend. Under varigated skies, and bundled up against the wind's chill The tent-ers at the Arts and Crafts' Street Fair and the Festival on the Field (at school) -goers disregarded sprinkles of rain and blustery winds. The Cutting Garden features a special dahlia tuber sales day. |
The Arts and Crafts Fair, at Seal and Cedar Streets again featured live music and entertainment. |
The winds came up in the afternoon; these tents had to be really secured agains the winds. |
A very popular booth at the fair was this garden/flower booth - the hanging baskets sell out quickly. |

Next Saturday morning ,the 10th, after the Lions' pancake breakfast at Carrie Blake Park , will be THE Irrigation Festival's Grand Parade! Sequim's (main street) Washington Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic from noon until the parade is over- 2 hours later. At this small town parade, seat placements are reserved the night before - by people who bring (and leave) their lawn chairs along the parade route. Only in Sequim could that sort of thing happen!.... The logging show and tractor pull contests, including the lawnmower races, will also be held in the vicinity of Carrie Blake park on the east side of town. So much to see.. And of course the garden shows and art shows are still open Saturday and Sunday. And Saturday night is the Sequim High School Festival Operetta, "Kiss Me Kate"! |
