This bluff backs up the 2 downtown streets, parallel to the Port Townsend waterfront. Some of the side streets have staircases - many many steps - for pedestrians to use, to climb to the upper level of town.

Some of the older buildings were so solid, it was obvious that their creators intended them to stand for a long long time!
