some photos of Port Townsend

The waterfront bluff- in 2 blocks from the shoreline.

This bluff backs up the 2 downtown streets, parallel to the Port Townsend waterfront. Some of the side streets have staircases - many many steps - for pedestrians to use, to climb to the upper level of town.

On the side wall of a building - heading toward the bluff adjacent to Water Street A mural of a sailing ship from long ago

Some of the older buildings were so solid, it was obvious that their creators intended them to stand for a long long time!

this old building is over 100 yars old.

A touch of '50's nostalgia is evident in this water view soda fountain - tabletop jukeboxes, chromed counter stools...

This wooden dog guards the entry to April Fool - "Quite possibly the most wonderful store in the world"
