Hello, Anchorage...

It's party time.

The Rondy begins this weekend...on Friday night, with the Prospector's Ball, a fireworks extravaganza, and the start of the Junior and Women's World Championship Sled Dog races

Saturday there will be The Fur Rendezvous Grand Parade through Downtown; the second day's leg of the Juniors and Womens Sled Dog Championship races, and the Grand Prix Car Race.
On Saturday Night, another Ball - the famed Miners and Trappers Ball.

On Sunday the final leg of the Juniors and Womens dog races; and the second day of the Grand Prix, and the Snowshoe softball tournament at the park strip.

During the following week the Arts exhibits and Crafts Shows, the dogs and cats shows, and other shows and performances will be held throughout Anchorage.

We'll be back in Anchorage in time for the Last Weekend of the Rondy - taking lots of photos of the different events...

But this first Rondy week, we enjoyed California and Arizona weather, visiting family and friends, enjoying the flowers in their gardens. Thursday we were on the way to The Olympic Peninsula of Washington State, to visit friends in Sequim and Port Townsend, before returning to Anchorage.
