Our Christmas came a wee bit early here in Alaska - the kids flew in the
weekend before December 25th.
The tree had been chosen a week before that, kept in a cool place in a bucket
of water, wrapped against dehydration, misted daily, and generally pampered.
In Anchorage, it is a battle to keep the cut trees from freezing; and
Mother Nature didn't help much since outdoor temps were well below freezing.
Frozen trees tend to shed their needles. Once decorated and perched in the
living room, they'll create a little ticking symphony : falling needles
hitting the packages under the tree!

Daughter gives Dad tips for his new computer game.
Can't wait to see his photos.

Santa was good to everyone; even the youngest here had a go at unwrapping his
own little gift - a teething ring, which promptly went into his mouth!
